From Records of the Anglican Church at Woodstock (micro-film C-8) we can deduce that John Larlee (son of Dr. Larlee) was first married to a women names Sally. They had at least 2 children, Samuel & Sally. Sally the mother died In 1806. On 24 August 1808 John married Nancy Craig, by license. Some of their children were baptized In the Woodstock Church:
Baptized 24 September 1811 - John & Sarah
Baptized 30 September 1820 - Daniel, Phoebe, Maria & William
Since John and Nancy named a child Sarah, it is likely that the "Sally" in the first marriage died young. And perhaps this second Sarah died young since she does not appear In the formal list of children from Manly Craig MS. The daughter names Maria could also go by Polly.
The birth years for the children have come from various sources and are not accurate. It Is believed that the first five are In the correct age-order, since It agrees with the order the baptismal records, but If Daniel were born In 1817 and William In 1919, It Is not likely that two sisters (not twins) would be born between them. Also since only Elisha and Allen were living at home at the time of the 1851 census, It Is quite likely that Margaret Eliza listed as the 10th child, should be earlier on the list.
From Mabel Hetherington - Larlee Creek Church Is where the Craigs, Larlees, Armstrongs, and Lovelys attended and the graveyard has many stones with those names. It is said that the Craigs and Larlees made that church ring when they sang.
From Manly Craig ms: "Nancy Craig was In the funeral procession of her son Amos who has been killed by a Bull and as the cortege was turning out the gate Into the main highway, which was at a point near the end of the present highway Andover-Peth Bridge she collapsed and dies, falling back Into the arms of her son Elijah"
