From Walter Birt:
The old farm was sold about 1973. It Is believed that the land was a grant piece of property sold to John Larlee and Jane (Grant). There were three other sections to the north. These three grants belonged to George Craig, Charles Craig and Emily Craig's Father. The farms buildings were torn down at the time of the sale or shortly after. The farm was padded down to the boys. Apparently It had quite some acreage at one time, possibly four hundred acres. The boys all had a share, but Phineas stayed on the farm. He carried the mail delivery up through the Tobique for many years as did his father before him. the farm was just south of Perth, NB. The Larlee's were mail carriers from the first settlers on the upper St. john until Phineas gave up the job.
It Is believed that the grant of land In question may have been made originally to John Larlee and Nancy (Craig). As for the Craig grants. they were probably made at the same time, or nearly the same time, as the Larlee grant.
